Bored at home? Stressed about the current scenario?

With conflicting reports regarding how long the virus will last, it’s necessary to maintain your sanity and utilize your time as well to stay productive during quarantine and self-isolation.

I too tend to lose my cool and get restless while staying home during long periods of time.

After a couple of weeks into eat-sleep-netflix-repeat, I realized that I chose to put my life on hold. So, I decided to kick start my life again. Now I know that being stuck inside isn’t so bad if you have some amazing & productive stuff to do!

Here are some easy to follow tips & steps to stay productive and organize your life during the quarantine…

  1. Cleaning and de-cluttering your room. It may sound boring, but will definitely make you feel better and organized.
  2. Take an online course. It may be completely unrelated to your subject, but join it because you know you always wanted to do it!
  3. Start a blog. Do you have passion for food, fashion, self- development or finance? Or any specific interest from lasagna to lights? Start a blog and share your passion with the world.
  4. Listen to a motivational podcast. A great way to relax while feeling productive…
  5. Read a book. (yes, books really are our best companion!). One of the best parts of to do list.
  6. Deep clean a junk draw. We all have a draw acting like a store to all random things we have accumulated over the years. Chuck out the stuff you no longer need from that secret den!
  7. Make a bucket list. We all have goals and dreams. Enlist them as it would provide a vision and help you plan for it accordingly.
  8. Plan your meals. Create your monthly or weekly diet chart. Organize your groceries.
  9. Write poetry. See how expressive & creative you can be!
  10. Learn a new language. Try Duolingo or any other similar app.
  11. Spend time with friends & family. Open up to them and share your life stories, know about theirs too.
  12. Bake it up! Try some cookies or your grandma’s cupcake recipe.
  13. Re-arrange your furniture. Changing the layout can help you feel unstuck.
  14. Plan your future holiday. Plan the destination, to-do list, budget, and the perfect timing!
  15. Explore your artistic side. Do some coloring, try calligraphy or make a scrapbook with old photos & memories.

  3. Focus on self-growth. Create a personal development plan, refer to self- help material.
  4. Self-care goes a long way! The DIY diva in you can try a homemade facemask, scrub or a manicure ritual every now and then.
  5. Learn about passive income. Attain financial freedom with some extra money every month.
  6. Work on a side-hustle. Scale up your life with a side income.
  7. Analyze your finances. Track the budgets, incomes, and any debts.
  8. Do a word search. Have a new set of vocabulary.
  9. Improve your morning habits. Want to get fit? Have a good morning routine.
  10. Practice self-love. Emphasize on loving yourself and your insecurities.
  11. Try out aerobics or yoga. Download a fitness app with curated workout plan and a diet coach.
  12. Take a bubble bath to calm your senses. (Of course with a glass of wine or any of your favorite beverages!)
